P O E T R Y P is Poignant yet Polite and oh so Proud oh himself seems a Passionate Prudent Person just like me. Living happily in his own Paradise I live with these traits. No wonder even my name starts with a P ! O is Obese but Omnipresent though. Opulent, full with everything in his belly with eyes like an Owl. The big O shouts out like an Orate Orgasm. She is Out with Ornaments loud, She is Orthodox and thus moves Only in her Own circle. E is so Eldritch and Eerie he has no End. an Enigma in itself holding Euphoric Energies within ready to Engulf with two mouths open. Exuberating with Escaping Eagerness T is This and That Well Trained thus Tantalizing Tall it stands Thin and Trim yes but a Tenacious core No, not Timid at all Stands Tall just like The Time to Thank one and all R with one leg pointing out, she is always ready to Run Resilient it look Ruthless and Rugged She tried once enRolling for a Race then gave up altogether because of her pointing leg so straight. Y yippee you ask me why not the noodles Why not ! He is Yappy and Yawning with his mouth perpetually open Second from the bottom he is amongst the last benchers Yodeling a prayer to stay Young forever. ©Preeti S Manaktala Day 23
Today’s prompt (optional, as always) asks you to write a poem about a particular letter of the alphabet, or perhaps, the letters that form a short word. Doesn’t “S” look sneaky and snakelike? And “W” clearly doesn’t know where it’s going! Think about the shape of the letter(s), and use that as the take-off point for your poem.
