NaPoWriMo Day 28 : And now for our prompt (optional, as always). Following the suggestion of our craft resource, we challenge you today to draft a prose poem in the form/style of a postcard.
Dear Grandpa ,
You knew I didnt like the creche , where I was dropped after school , while mum-dad were off to work, you would appear like my angel to sweep me home, it was so COOL !
On our way I would search through your denim bag for my treat, in which was a hidden my 5 star chocolate sweet.
A fit-old man, handsome and tall, a man of few words we shared a deep bond. I felt your love through your unspoken words, you were always eager and happy to see me , as I was your favorite little bird.
I sat with you as you pruned the plants and collected the yellow leaves. When we went for our walks to the garden, I held your warm big hand, when I got tired, you would pick me, oh grandpa you were so GRAND !
I am a big girl now with kids of my own, I tell them your stories about a great human I have known. A lot did I cry when you left us and were gone. I still remember you fondly and miss those days bygone.
Sending this postcard full of love to heaven, do send me a reply
I am still on street seven.
Hugs and love
Lovingly your grand daughter
